She is particularly interested in applying her business skills to help initiatives related to increasing meaningful employment opportunities - and like initiatives - for individuals with disabilities.

As the parent of a daughter on the autism spectrum, she devotes significant time to initiatives related to special needs. Mira has been a member of the Board of Directors for ACEing Autism, a national non-profit that provides tennis clinics to individuals on the autism spectrum, since it was founded in 2008 and currently serves as its Programming Committee Chair. She is a long-serving officer for her school district's Special Education Parents Advisory Council, and is also an active contributor to community initiatives related to employment, housing, recreation and healthcare for individuals with disabilities.

Mira recently founded Zo Much More, a family-run social enterprise powered by her daughter, Zoe. Zo Much More seeks to leverage Zoe's strengths in a meaningful and productive way, and at the same time support organizations who are committed to improving the quality of life for adults on the autism spectrum.
